    教学目标:
    1.知识目标
    1)词汇:本课时的四会单词。
    2)听懂并理解本课听力材料所传达的信息。
    2.能力目标:能够理解中国的12生肖和西方的12星座的含义,并能从所听材料中提取需要的信息。
    3.情感目标:经过一系列的训练以及讨论以后,能够辨别真伪,正确认识那些迷信的说法,并用积极向上的态度对待生活中遇到的挫折。
    教学重难点:
    如何能够准确地从听到的材料中提取需要的信息。
    教学手段:tape-recorder, computer, (if possible, ask students to bring some books about star signs; if not, just use the information given in the PowerPoint)
    板书设计:
    教学步骤:
    I. Free talk:
    T: Do you want to know what will happen to you today? Has anybody brought any book about star signs?...
    T: I have prepared some for you here. Who wants to know what your luck is today? Hands up, and I will show it to you.
    (ask two or three students about their star signs, and show them the proper prediction today. After that, ask them, “Do you agree with it? Has it happened to you? Do you believe it will happen to you today?”)
    II. Reading and predicting:
    1. T: These are called star signs. People in western countries always use them. However, in China, there is another way. That is called ‘Horoscope’. For example, 2007 is called the year of the Pig. 2008 is called the year of the Mouse. …
    2. T: Millie was born in the year of the Goat. She is reading Mr. Zhang’s forecast to find out what it says about her this month. Please read the forecast and help her complete the notes with as much information as possible. (Nos. 3, 5, 6)
    3. T: Try to guess the answers to the other blanks. (Nos. 1, 2, 10)
    III. Listening:
    1. T: Mr. Zhang is talking in a radio programme. Please listen to him carefully and complete the rest of Millie’s notes. (play the recorder once without stopping)
    2. Play the recorder once more. Stop it where necessary and ask students to repeat some important sentences.
